What this text is

The defining manual of Tājika (annual-chart) astrology — varṣaphala as the tradition knows it is this book.

Three sections: saṁjñā-tantra (sahams, Tājika aspects, the ithasāla/ishrāfa yoga apparatus), varṣa-tantra (the annual chart, year-lord election, muntha, mudda daśā), and praśna-tantra; usually read with the Kuntala and Jyotī commentaries.

Its role in this app

The sole defining seat of our varṣaphala feature — year-lord election, muntha, Tājika yogas and mudda daśā all trace here, which is why that category’s evidence grades are honest about being single-lineage. Our muntha finding: the classical text puts houses 4 and 7 flatly in the adverse set, against the modern "mixed" softening the engine inherited — registered, not silently flipped.

What our reading found

Findings from this project's own verification passes — recorded because a source's defects are part of citing it honestly.

No usable public-domain or English Tājika source exists in the corpus — the known weak spot of this tier.

Readings on this site cite texts at chapter level, with verse numbers only where our research verified the passage in a named edition. How conflicts between texts are resolved is documented on the conventions page.
