The munthā's house — The seventh bhāva — Yuvati

Directly opposite the self stands Yuvati, the bhāva of the other: the spouse and the marriage, partnerships of every binding kind, trade and exchange, and the road travelled toward others. It is a kendra — a pillar house whose occupants act openly — and it is also classed māraka in the āyurdāya chapters, a technical role in longevity computation that the tradition surrounds with conditions and never reads as a standalone omen.
The texts weigh the seventh through its lord's dignity and placement, the grahas seated in it, and the aspects it receives, with Venus consulted as kāraka of union — the computed chart beside this passage carries those facts. A supported seventh is read as partnership that steadies the self; affliction is read as the meeting-point under strain. Which of these the chart actually shows is a computed matter, not a presumption.
