Lābha is the bhāva of arrival: gains and income of every kind, the fulfilment of aspirations, elder siblings, allies, and the wide networks through which things come to a person. It is an upachaya — a growing house whose results the texts say ripen with age and effort — and also a triṣaḍāya, so its lord carries the taint the tradition assigns the desire houses even while the bhāva itself is welcomed. The texts hold that most grahas, benefic or malefic, give well when placed here.
The shape of the gain is read from the eleventh lord's dignity and seat, from the occupants of the bhāva, and from the aspects upon it — the computed chart beside this passage carries those facts. A fortified Lābha is read as aspiration that lands; an afflicted lord as wanting that outruns receiving. The chart says which account this nativity earns.
